#Activating a phone that I bought from BOSS Revolution

#I am getting a new phone number

Joining is a simple and fast process. Before you start make sure you have your phone’s MEID and ICCID. Both of these numbers can be found on the box your phone came in.

Do not power the phone on until you are finished signing up.

Once you have this information ready click “Join Us” from our home page and follow the directions. Since you are getting a new phone number be sure to enter accurate information so that we can assign you a phone number with the proper area code. You should be ready to save money with BOSS Revolution Mobile in just a few short minutes.

#I am keeping my phone number

Joining is a simple and fast process. Before you start make sure you have your phone’s MEID and ICCID. Both of these numbers can be found on the box your phone came in.

You will also need to make sure you have your Phone number, account number (sometimes your account number is your phone number) and PIN of your current mobile provider. If you don’t have that information you will need to contact your provider to get it.

Do not power the phone on until you get confirmation that your phone number has been transferred.

Once you have this information click “Join Us” from our home page and follow the simple directions. The registration process should only take a few minutes to complete but transferring your number will take a little bit longer. Usually it only takes about 2 hours. Mobile numbers though sometimes take up to 24 hours and landlines could take up to 7 days.

We will update you with the status of your activation if you provide us with an email address during registration or by following the on screen instructions at the completion of sign up.

While you are waiting for the phone number to be transferred your phone will not work.

#I am already a BOSS Revolution Mobile customer and have a new phone

If you are already a BOSS Revolution Mobile customer and you want to switch to a new device, log into your account and use the Swap Device feature in your account center. Just like when you signed up for our service make sure that before you start the Device Swap you have located the phone’s MEID and ICCID. Both of these numbers can be found on the box your phone came in.

#Activating a phone that I did not buy from BOSS Revolution (BYOD)

#Before beginning any activation be sure to back up the data on your phone

It’s best to connect to WiFi before backing up.

Android
Though the specific procedure may slightly vary between Android devices, the process is generally the same. In your phone’s Personal or General settings select back up & reset.

iPhone

  1. Go to Settings > [your name], and tap iCloud. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings, then scroll down and tap iCloud.
  2. Tap iCloud Backup. If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Backup. Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on.
  3. Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process completes.
  4. Make sure that the backup finished: Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Storage > Manage Storage, then select your device. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage, then select your device. The backup should appear in the details with the time and backup size.

If your phone was on a prepaid account and was purchased at either a large retailer or from your carrier directly it will usually need to be active for 12 consecutive months before becoming compatible with BOSS Revolution Mobile.

If you purchase a phone from a third party and it fails to connect to our network contact the seller right away so that you can arrange for a refund.

If the phone belongs to you, you will need to contact your carrier to resolve this issue.

Before you buy a phone make sure it’s coming from a trusted source. Any phones that have ever been classified as lost or stolen will not activate on BOSS Revolution Mobile.

Depending on which Carrier network the phone was previously on you may need to purchase a new SIM card that is compatible with BOSS Revolution. You can buy one in BOSS Revolution Mobile Shop.

#I am getting a new phone number

The first step when signing up will be to check your phone’s eligibility to be used with BOSS Revolution. Before you start make sure you have your device’s MEID or IMEI. If you have an LTE phone you will also need a SIM card number (ICCID) that is compatible with BOSS Revolution.

The MEID/IMEI can be found by using any of the following methods.

  1. Enter *#06# on your phone's dial pad
  2. Check in the settings menu:
    • Android: Go to Settings > About Phone > Status
    • iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About
    • Windows Phone: Go to Settings > About > More info
  3. Check under your device's battery. Note: It may be listed as “DEC” or “HEX”
  4. Look for a sticker on the box your device came in.

The ICCID can be found by any of the following methods.

  1. Check in the settings menu:
    • iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About
    • Android: Go to Settings > About Phone > Status On some phones your ICCID will now be visible. On other phones select “IMEI Information” first.
    • Windows Phone: Go to Settings > System > About
  2. You can simply get the SIM card number by ejecting it from the SIM slot or by pulling it out from a tray on the phone. Androids can have different locations for the SIM card. Occasionally, a SIM tool or push pin may be required to open a SIM tray. If your phone has this design, simply put the tool or the push pin into the small hole located next to the tray and it should eject the SIM card

It’s best to turn your device off during the registration process.

#Completing Activation

After your activation is complete, turn your phone off, then power your phone on. If it connects to the network, you are all set and ready to use BOSS Revolution Mobile.

Depending on your phone you may need to use a Special Code To Reset the Network. (SCRTN). Don’t worry, an SCRTN, also known as a carrier wipe, will not erase any information from your phone.

Performing an SCRTN is easy and only takes a minute. Enter the appropriate code from the list below into your phone’s dialpad. The phone will reboot a couple of times as it resets to our network. These codes will be slightly different depending on your phone.

Allow your phone a few minutes to fully restart.

#How do I apply for financing?

  1. Click the ‘buy’ button to select the phone you’d like to finance. Financing is available on select models
  2. Follow the on screen step-by-step checkout process
  3. On the Payment information screen, choose the ‘Apply for financing’ option
  4. Fill out out the application for an instant approval and select your financing option
  5. Complete your order. Your new phone will be shipped in 2-3 business days.

Who can apply?

Anyone with a Checking Account can apply. Your monthly payments will be drafted from your checking account.

How long does it take to apply?

Using BOSS Revolution Mobile Service

#Account Center

#US Coverage

BOSS Revolution Mobile offers coverage throughout the United States. Enter your address to check coverage in your area.

#Roaming

BOSS Revolution Mobile does not offer roaming. Its one of the ways we keep your costs low. What that means is that if you are in an area that has no coverage your phone will not work unless you have a WiFi connection.

#International Roaming

BOSS Revolution Mobile does not offer international roaming services. However, if you are traveling and have access to WiFi you can continue to make calls using the BOSS Revolution mobile app.

#Rates

With BOSS Revolution Mobile the rates are a simple. There are no contracts, no tricks, no hidden fees or taxes. You will pay for what you use, as you use it. $1 is deducted from your balance each week. If you don’t have sufficient balance in your account you will be notified and placed into a 14 day grace period. After the grace period is complete your account will be terminated and your phone number will be lost.

Airtime is a charge per minute for all phone calls made without the BOSS Revolution app. In other words, when calling with your Phone’s dialpad or contacts. Airtime calls that connect are billed from the time that ringing starts. Calls that don’t connect are not billed. All calls made using the BOSS Revolution mobile app are billed from the time of the connection. There is no Airtime charge when dialing through the app. Use the BOSS Revolution app to save on all of your calls.

All calls you receive including voicemail will use Airtime.

Data is billed in Megabyte increments. In order to give you the best data experience, when you begin a data session we deduct enough balance to allow your data to stream continuously. When your data session ends whatever amount is unused gets returned to your balance. That is why you sometimes will see your balance fluctuate slightly up or down, sometimes even after you have just recharged your account. With BOSS Revolution Mobile you will never pay for data that you don’t use.

Log into your account from our web page. In order to login in you will need to enter your phone number and the 4 digit security code you were sent when you signed up. If you don’t remember your security you can request that we resend it from the login page.

#Manage My Account

Once you are logged into your account you can access and edit your personal details and credit card information.

#My Usage

When logged in to your account you can see the usage of your current weekly billing cycle as well as prior ones.

#Billing

BOSS Revolution Mobile is a prepaid pay as you mobile service. This means that you must have balance in your account in order to use services. Balance can be added with a credit card or with cash at any of our nationwide participating BOSS Revolution Retailers. When using a credit card you will only be charged when your Balance falls below $5.

#BOSS Revolution Mobile App

The Free BOSS Revolution mobile app can be downloaded at the app store on your phone. The phone calls you make using the mobile app will save you money. Dial from the app whenever you can to avoid airtime charges and save. See Rates for more details.

#International Calling

#How do I make a call?

With BOSS Revolution Mobile you can dial directly from your phone. When you dial this way the international rates plus airtime rates apply. To avoid airtime charges place your international calls with the BOSS Revolution mobile app. See Rates for more details.

When making an international calls dial + or 011 then the country code and phone number.

#International Plans

BOSS Revolution Mobile offers international calling plans in addition to the regular rates. See information about our current international rates and plans.

#Voicemail

Your voicemail services will be active when you open your account. The first time that you call voicemail you will be taken through a voice mail set up process. To access your messages or change any of your voicemail setting simply dial your own number. Remember you will save money if you call with the BOSS Revolution app.

#My device is lost or stolen

If your device is lost or stolen call customer service immediately. Customer Service will be able to suspend your account until you either find your device or get a new one. When your account is suspended you will still have $1 deducted from it each week but this will make sure that your number stays with you and that no one will be able to use your balance for anything else until you get a new phone and activate it.
